High Rotation Record Club 02

A monthly album listening club hosted by Scott Towers (Fat Freddy’s Drop) and Haydn Middleton (Peak House / Madcap) with special guest presentations from an array of Hawkes Bay music lovers.

This month's special guests are long-time music lover and self described "juice-hawker" Mac Macpherson from Advintage, and actor/director Paulo Rotondo, most recently seen in The Luminaries.

The Covid-19 lockdown forced us all to take the foot of the throttle and find ways to fill time whilst occupying our minds. For music lovers that provided a chance to dive deep into their respective collections and re-acquaint themselves with some of the classic records that have shaped their buying and listening habits.

HIGH ROTATION RECORD CLUB sees our hosts and special guests present either a stone-cold classic record, or something a little more off-piste that deserves a wider audience. Each selection will be given a brief introduction - providing some context for the music you’re about to hear and highlighting why it’s important to them – and hopefully you.

Then we’ll fire up a beautiful vintage sound system, and play the entire record from go to woah, while you take in the truly breath-taking view across Hawke's Bay from Peak House. Whilst we do want you to relax and soak up the sound, it’s definitely time to socialise; bring the crossword, play scrabble, read the paper or simply take in the magnificent view from high on Te Mata Peak. Peak House food & beverage menu will be on offer – along with special additions chosen for each event.
